These Terms & Conditions apply to enquiries, enrolment and participation in Acadevis Institute online programmes. They are written as general business terms and should be reviewed by a qualified Sri Lankan legal professional before the Institute relies on them as its final legal contract.
Acadevis Institute provides online programmes in academic development, professional skills, language and modern technology learning. Programme information, schedules, fees and delivery arrangements are published on the website or communicated to students and may be updated when reasonably necessary.
Before enrolling, students should review the relevant programme description, learning medium, schedule, duration, fee and any stated prerequisites. Unless expressly stated, external examination, certification or assessment fees are not included in the Acadevis programme fee.
Enrolment is confirmed when the required registration information has been provided and the applicable fee has been paid, or another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed with Acadevis. Students must provide accurate information and promptly notify Acadevis of material changes to their contact details.
Published fees are stated in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise specified. Where a third-party payment provider is used, the transaction is also subject to that provider's terms. Currency conversion charges, bank charges, payment-provider charges or taxes that lawfully apply to an international transaction may depend on the payment method and the student's location.
Programmes are delivered online. Acadevis may reasonably adjust class dates, times, instructors, platforms or other delivery arrangements where operationally necessary. Where a material change affects a programme, Acadevis will make reasonable efforts to inform affected students and provide an appropriate alternative arrangement.
Students are responsible for attending scheduled sessions and maintaining a suitable device, internet connection and access to required communication or learning platforms. Failure to attend a session for personal reasons does not automatically create a right to a refund or replacement session, unless Acadevis confirms otherwise.
Course notes, slides, recordings, documents, assessments and other materials supplied by Acadevis are for the enrolled student's personal educational use. Students must not copy, sell, republish, distribute, publicly upload or commercially exploit Acadevis materials without written permission, except where a legal right cannot lawfully be excluded.
Students must participate respectfully and must not disrupt classes, misuse learning platforms, share unauthorised access credentials, impersonate another person, record or distribute sessions without permission, or engage in conduct that may harm students, instructors or Acadevis.
Acadevis provides education and learning support. It does not guarantee a particular examination result, external certification result, employment offer, salary, promotion or career outcome. Student outcomes depend on preparation, participation, assessment requirements and other circumstances outside Acadevis's control.
Where Acadevis provides a certificate or completion recognition, the eligibility requirements will be communicated for the relevant programme. An Acadevis course-completion certificate should not be represented as an external professional certification unless it is expressly issued by the relevant external body.
Where classes use third-party platforms or communication channels, students must follow the relevant platform rules. Any recording of a class or distribution of a recording by Acadevis will be subject to the programme arrangements and applicable privacy requirements.
Cancellations and refunds are handled under the Acadevis Institute Refund & Cancellation Policy. Students should read that policy before making payment. Nothing in that policy or these Terms is intended to remove a consumer or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acadevis may process information required for enquiries, enrolment, payments, communications, student administration and learning support. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the Acadevis Privacy Policy. Acadevis may use service providers such as hosting, communication, learning or payment platforms where reasonably necessary to operate the service.
Acadevis may make programmes available to learners outside Sri Lanka in the future. International students are responsible for checking any local requirements that apply to their participation, payment, taxation, immigration status or use of an online educational service. Acadevis will not describe a programme as an accredited, licensed or government-recognised qualification unless the relevant status actually applies.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit a right, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. For Sri Lankan customers, applicable Sri Lankan consumer-protection requirements remain relevant. For international customers, mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply in the customer's jurisdiction may also need to be considered.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply to the customer. Acadevis will aim to resolve complaints and disputes directly and in good faith before formal proceedings are considered.
Acadevis may update these Terms when its services, programmes, payment arrangements or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this website. The terms applicable to an enrolment should be made available to the student at or before the point of purchase.
